Lexington, Kentucky

Ahhh, Lexington. Horse Capitol of the World.

And in downtown Lexington, at the corner of Main and Midland lies a small park, called Thoroughbred Park. Here, you can see life-size bronze statues of Thoroughbreds racing, 2 mares and their foals playing behind the wall, and a foal taking a nap in front of the circle of flowers. Pictures can be seen here: on my Facebook account.

Also in the park are plaques dedicated to famous or well-known horse people, such as Samuel D. Riddle, who owned Man O' War, Henry Clay, and many others.

It was very cool for being downtown. Although only a quick stop, it was worth it, with all the detail that went into the statues and jockeys.

Cleaning Time!

It's nearing Christmas, and with about 3 months(give or take a few weeks) to go until we hit the road, cleaning is in full swing! 7ish rooms have been gone through, and the only things left in them is stuff we're taking with us in the RV. Well, except for what we call, the TV room; it's holding boxes full of stuff we're giving away or selling.

The whole downstairs except for the office has been gone through and cleaned, and my mom expects to take all of the coming week on the office. After the office is done, we're moving upstairs to clean bedrooms! Boy, that should be fun! Not. That's where all the toys and clothes and stuff that us kids have stays. I have no idea how long that'll take.

It's Official!

Well, we bought the Sandpiper 35LOFT model, and I can't wait to get on the road. If you go to this link(click here), you can see pictures and a floorplan layout of the RV. We are working on getting a truck to pull it, because the 15-passenger van that we have, won't do it!

Getting the RV

Well, it is 8 AM Monday September 27th, and we are heading out to see a 35LOFT model RV. The loft model, or Treehouse as we call it, is a fith-wheel, and we're trying to decide between 2 dealers who are both trying to sell us a Treehouse.
